Equipment

The South Coast Volunteer Fire Department uses the equipment that is owned by the South Coast Fire Protection District.

The South Coast District owns twelve pieces of equipment:

Two Type I fire engines
(used for fighting structure fires)

Four Type III fire engines
(used mainly for wildland fires)

Three tenders
(transport large amounts of water for the fire engine to pump)

Two medical squads
(transport medical supplies and medical personnel)

One command vehicle
(allows Chief to organize and communicate)

Additional Emergency Resources are provided by
Coast Life Support District
and several helicopter services
